Who are we?


For us, "Mission First" is not a tag-line, it’s the way we do business - period. Our clients and teammates rely on us to produce because their missions are important. Critically important.

Knowing that, we have structured our company to provide the flexibility and responsiveness of a small firm while still maintaining the rigorous management inherent in large firms. We know that our approach is unique and most importantly, has been proven successful.

Our company was started by Defense and Intelligence Industry experts.  Our management team and advisory board have over a half century of providing support and successfully fulfilling clients needs.  We believe in integrity and hard work.  We say what we are going to do and do what we say .

The real reason however is to give you some proof of why you would want to do business with us in the first place:  We are proud to say that the executive management team of The Buffalo Group has never lost a recompete of one of its contracts. We believe that our dedication to our clients and employees is the underlying reason for this track record.

 


What is Mission First?

  • Mission First is giving our clients our home numbers and access to senior management 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  • Mission First is visiting our employees and clients on a regular basis, no matter where they may be – CONUS or OCONUS.
  • Mission First is going above and beyond the Statement of Work because needs dictate. We don’t want to meet your expectations, we simply want to exceed them – every time.
  • Mission First is proactively handling concerns and problems before they become issues.
  • Mission first is when there is a stack of pizza boxes in the corner of our office because our team has been “following the sun,” identifying and qualifying candidates for a client’s mission. What’s following the sun you ask? Following the sun is when we arrive at the office when it’s dark and leave the office when it’s dark. It’s when our recruiters switch from calling the East Coast at 9pm and start calling potential candidates on the West Coast until midnight our time.
  • Mission first is when you’re drinking coffee in the morning and red bulls at night for 3 weeks straight.
  • Mission First is being accountable when mistakes happen and making them right. The professional sevices business relies on human capital. Humans make mistakes and humans can create issues. While we work hard to minimize the chance of an issue creeping up, we separate ourselves in how we deal with those issues.
